| I was born and raised in Orange County, Huntington Beach to be more specific. I grew up playing a lot of athletics including football, soccer, baseball and volleyball as well as engaging in water sports on the Colorado River. In high school, attending Mater Dei in Santa Ana, my sports of choice narrowed to football and volleyball. I then went to San Diego State University where I continued to play sports with friends and you can say this is where I found my passion for exercise and how the human body works. After deciding to pursue my B.S. in Kinesiology, I started personal training at the Aztec Receation Center campus fitness facility. After graduating, I moved back to OC and continued my personal training career at The Sports Club LA - OC. Here is where I gained most of my knowledge learning from my peers as well as talking to the physical therapist in the Sports Med office. I also accomplish a whole lot more by meeting my beautiful wife, Andrea. After working in the corporate world, I decided to try a smaller more intimate gym and started training at The Art of Fitness in Laguna Beach. I was the Head Trainer and also took on other management responsibilities for a couple of years when I realized my time for my clients was getting thin. So, I decided to step back into personal training as well as start an in-home training business. |
